Hey Y'all. In two weeks I'm going to be going to Costa Rica for about two weeks. I'm unsure of how much time I'll have to draw so I may or my not be able to keep on schedule. Worst case scenario you'll get some pics of monkeys, bats, butterflies and jungle scenery as filler until I get back on track. Middle ground is you get some concept sketches for some of the later scenes.

Here's today's page. Thanks for reading

Haha

Even if I decide to start a new life in the jungle, stealing cocktails with my monkey brethren, I'll still be posting updates whenever I'm in Wi-Fi range.

Have fun in Costa Rica! It's a really beautiful country full of friendly people. What parts will you be visiting?

I'm going with a tour group and hitting a few areas to get a sense of the natural heritage of the region. San Jose, the Arenal Region, Monteverde, and Guacaste.

I plan on taking lots of pictures to use as references for the backgrounds in future Teo scenes and much later Dara scenes.

That sounds so awesome! Arenal and Monteverde, especially Monteverde, will provide you with so many photo opportunities. I haven't been to San Jose or Guacaste but I'm sure you'll get amazing photos from there as well. Hope you have fun! ¡Pura vida!

Monte vista is the part I'm looking forward to the most. Particularly the bat jungle and the hanging bridges in the canopy.

so excited!

Looks like we can put the "figment" thing to rest.

He'll never let that one rest. He really doesn't want to admit the possibility of being a fairy god lizard.

Thanks! that means a lot to me. I'm finally at that stage where I feel like a "real" artist.

I'm happy with the way my style is settling in. Kinda like an American cartoon thing. Gotta practice more on fluidity, proportion and consistency.

He didn't really get bitten by an imaginary lizard, he twisted his ankle in a plot-hole.
