So, this was another no reference test. Not great, but it could have been worse. I've found that my best results come from laying a skeleton over a MS5 drawing doll or a photo. once I've got the shapes laid out I can toss the reference and I end up with something I really like.

Now I had this crazy idea of showing y'all what happened the night before Dara woke up in the desert. I mentioned it on the Trailer Park and got some interest but it seemed only fair to mention it here. Since I had the idea after posting the poll on the Coming attractions tab, I couldn't add it as an option afterwards. But if you vote for a revisit I'll throw the night before into the revisit options in the second poll. Alternatively you can vote for me to shut down the trailer park and try for 2 pages per week.

Either way, the night before is canon but not technically part of the story so it would only be shown in the Trailer Park as a deleted scene.

Hope that's not too convoluted. Voting ends on Feb 11.

Anyway, I hope you like the page.

Heheh, I just love those glowy eyes.
And that desert is still gorgeous.
(I totally want to see the night before!)

I was worried they might be too glowy but I'm liking it.

The night before should be a lot of fun to draw. I've got to design all of Dara's friends and may or may not be stuffing cameos into the rave.

I really actually like the new no/minimal reference style. It's WAY more organic.

And YES! Night before! Doo eet!

It's also faster because I spend less time thinking about each individual pixel.

It's going on the poll. I'm going to enjoy this. You're going to meet Dara's family and her crew.

Now, I know Nevada is quite far out of her way but I think Marie-Angie could score a ticket to that party. And by "Ticket" I mean "ten dollar door charge".

Believe me when I say that it is NOT a problem for Marie-Ange to have gotten out to Nevada at a moment's notice. Her father owns a major global shipping company, and gives her LOTS of money. If the party looked to be awesome enough, she DEFINITELY would have gone.

Getting all caught up! I really notice a difference in your line art, it's bolder and smoother than before! I like it.

Thanks!

I've become a lot more comfortable with the whole process and I've gotten a lot of help from the community.

Nice job. Especially with the first and last panels. I like the angles that you selected.

Thanks! I've found that the camera angles are my best friend when doing these otherwise uneventful scenes.

Agreed. I will always fall back on Wally Wood's 22 panels when there's going to be a longer conversation. I know you probably already have this, but I still like sharing it anyways. :D Mostly because I'm a Wally Wood fan.

Yeah, I got my paws on that a while back. Some of them don't work out as well with the size difference between Dara and Marcus but it's still quite useful.
