It only took me twenty five pages to get to the title.

I did this page this way to show that Chac's spots are continuously shifting around. Also, I thought it would be a fun way to present the back and fourth.

on a side note, I'm just about finished with the first comic trailer on Tapir Trailer Park. Check it out at: http://tapirs.webcomic.ws/

Be sure to vote on the next trailer in the "Coming Attractions" Tab

There is nothing wrong with slow-rolling the quest / title. It's a particular feature of your comic that we get no clue what's going on to begin with. Still, there is a sense of fulfillment here. Great work!

Thanks! I've been waiting for this page for a long time. I realized just now that I missed a spot in covering my inks. I should fix that today.

Sounds ominous, but if answers are what she seeks, then perhaps it's worth going...

She might have reconsidered if Chac had bothered to tell her about the hazards of the journey.

The rain definitely adds to the ominous effect of the scene, along with adding to the visual appeal of this moment. Loving how this comic is going so far, definitely expecting one wild spiritual, philosophical journey up ahead.

Also anticipate a great deal of physical suffering and you won't be disappointed.

Holy jebus, Chac is short for Rorschach!

"The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown."

Sounds like Xibalba...

Over the years he's developed a rather... skewed worldview.

Land of the dead... go there... without showing up on time... seems to me like you're not getting there too much alive?

People seldom get there alive. The road is long and hazardous

I think I might be headed to Xibalba myself....

We'll remember to drop a rose on the sidewalk every year.

I'm glad that you're taking your time. Getting to the title in the narrative as carefully as you did makes this such a great story. I really like the pace that you are setting.

Thanks! I was worried the run up was going too slow.

Cool, I've been wondering how the title will fit in.

The interesting thing about the Maya (to me) is that they didn't have this concept of a heaven. You lived, you died and after that, you belong to the lords of Xibalba for as long as it takes to fail their trials and quench their thirst.

Ominous... I think I know what awaits our poor girl.

Incidentally, I got a cross-links page up finally and put Xibalba up there. I'm sorry it took me so long to figure that darn thing out.
