I'm really happy with the way this page came out.

I'm also very excited about starting scene two. You're about to meet one of my favorite characters.

Since I'm done with school for the time being I thought I'd experiment some more artistically and put together a few trailers for stories I've got on the back burner. You can expect to see the first one in a few weeks and after that I'll see about setting up a voting page where you can look at a list of back burner stories and tell me which one you'd like to see next.

Xibalba is always going to take precedence so I've told myself that I'm only going to work on side projects when my four week buffer is full to ensure that I don't fall behind on my update schedule.

Like the bonus art I'll post them here first and then relegate them to their own tab after a week or so. If people seem to like them I might set them up with their own page. I'd be happy to entertain ideas for a name for such a page.

In the interim, enjoy.

I like it - you can see the effort to improve here, and you're doing some neat stuff with camera angles. I'm also digging the use of the textured brush (I'm assuming?) to put in the flora. That snake's snout is also really well done, great work on the scale placement.

Thanks!

Imma come clean with you. I totally traced that snake. The foliage is a material brush in MS5 I've yet to find a healthy balance between capturing the basic scene and agonizing over tiny details. That material brush really trimmed down my process but I know eventually I'll have to do something less cheap.

Interesting. I wonder who this is?

That's Teo. He only has a name so that I can refer to him. His segments are never going to feature actual text. You can find a short write up on him in the Bios section if you're interested.

:)

Ah, moar shine! Nice! And those patches of blurred green where the brush is reflected in the muddy water is definitely an improvement. I especially like the mist in the top panel as well. Great to see what this page looks like all finished like.

Thanks for all the help on that one. The mist was sorta an accident but I figured I'd roll with it.
