This doesn't bode well for our hero.

Kinda hard to tell with the necessary mesoamerican adjustments, but that's Sony from Consolers which is a fun and informative comic about the history and current events of game companies as anthropomorphized corporations.

Generally they'd clear an area around the city. It gives your enemies less cover for a surprise attack.

Did they use ebony in their cutting weapons? I suspect that that would do even more damage and pain than a metal weapon would.

Hey! Great to see you around again!

The blades are made of obsidian. So sharp that it's used in modern eye surgery. It might arguably hurt less. Though the additional bleeding would probably mean a faster kill.

Fun fact, most of Maya warfare included the taking of live captives. Teo's advantage is that he's under no such restriction.
